Weigh in on the Next Saratoga Living After Hours Story!
We're asking our most loyal readers for input on future SLAH articles.
Thank you so much (so, so much) to our paid SLAH subscribers. We’re weary but happy to be here because of readers like you, ones who understand that local journalism needs financial help—and who believe, like us, that our beloved Saratoga is too vibrant a town to not have a robust local media scene. Together, we can fight the good fight and work to make sure that our town’s coverage never becomes solely an after-thought in a big city’s publication.
Saratoga Living After Hours is quickly approaching the one-year anniversary mark at the end of this month. (How is that possible?) Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning, when we were still figuring out this new platform and our After Hours voice, or just joined the SLAH bandwagon, thanks for being here. In between putting together six print issues of Saratoga Living a year, our two-woman editorial team has poured our heart, soul and creativity into producing three SLAH posts a week—not only because we have to (local print journalism is struggling, if you hadn’t heard), but because we genuinely love to. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a look back at our favorite stories from the last year. And we’re only getting started.
That’s where you come in! While we could keep on keeping on as we’ve been doing, heading into our second year of SLAH, we’d like to become more engaged with you, the readers. After all, since this is such a locally focused newsletter, the readers, more often than not, are the subjects of many stories we write. You’re the mug club members at Olde Bryan Inn, Bailey’s and The Local; you’re the mothers who want very specific things for Mother’s Day; and you’re the track-lovers sporting all sorts of practical or stylish coolers.
So, reach out to us (our email is below, or simply reply to this email)! Leave a comment! (Did you know that only paid supporters can?) Let us know what you think about the stories we’re covering, and if there’s some secret Saratoga society we should be covering or trend none of your friends can stop talking about. Let us know what your favorite type of Game Time puzzle is. We want to know what you want to read, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
In the meantime, we’ve got some questions for you. Read on to weigh in on some stories we’ve got in the pipeline; send your responses to editorial@saratogaliving.com (or reply to this email—it looks like it’s doing something wonky, but we do receive responses just like any other email) for a chance to see your answers in future SLAH articles.
