I strongly believe that after a whirlwind year that brought us a once-in-a-lifetime eclipse, Belatoga, the regularly scheduled track season and the craziest fall social calendar we’ve ever seen, Saratogians should take the next week to do nothing. Well, maybe not nothing. Eat food. Make potatoes. Talk to your family. Sleep. Read David K. Wilson’s new book. Spend time with your friends that are home for the holidays.
If after Christmas you’re simply itching to do something social in Saratoga, I’d recommend Thursday’s Tropical Punch Party at Whitman Brewing, which will be complete with the release of a fruited sour, themed food, cocktail specials and tropical-themed trivia; or Dogs in a Pile’s four-night run at Putnam Place, which kicks off on Sunday. Other than that, relax, have a merry Christmas and rest up: 2025 is going to be a big year.
