Thursday, March 14
It wouldn’t be St. Paddy’s week in Saratoga without The McKrells! Watch the band play their acclaimed Celtic music at—where else?—The Parting Glass on Thursday at 7pm (Kevin McKrell’s solo show at Caffè Lena on Sunday is already sold out). Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
Friday, March 15
This Friday from 6-8pm, Saratoga Arts will host an opening reception for its first Juried Exhibition of 2024. Each year, the organization puts out an open call to artists across the Capital Region, and places submissions in front of a jury of regional art professionals. This show, which runs through April 12, features the work of Karen Gerstenberger, Jackie Zysk and Lydia Sharp, Susan Meyer and Carol Bollinger Green.
Saturday, March 16
Cue the table saws! This Saturday, Saratoga Joinery, a community woodworking studio that opened this month in the old Children’s Museum on Caroline Street, will host a grand opening celebration. The free event is open to the public and will feature shop tours, live woodworking demonstrations, activities and refreshments. Take your little ones to a show that combines the fine arts and women’s rights. This Saturday from 11am-2pm, Opera Saratoga will host a production of Katie: Strongest of the Strong, at The Hyde Collection. The 45-minute children’s opera tells the true story of of Katie Sandwina, a circus strongwoman who defied cultural expectations of women and was instrumental in the US suffrage movement in the 1900s. Tickets are free but registration is required.
Fans of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish, listen up: Hybrid tribute fusion act Pink Talking Fish will be bringing the sounds of all three bands to Putnam Place this Saturday at 9pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show.
It’s not quite time for summer recreation yet, but it’s never too early to start prepping! Join thousands of outdoor enthusiasts and more than 200 exhibitors for the annual Adirondack Sports Summer Expo, which will take over the Saratoga Springs City Center this Saturday and Sunday. Shop for gear, try out new equipment, join a club, register for events and have a chance to win prizes.
Sunday, March 17
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in boozy Saratoga style! Kings Tavern’s annual Keggz & Eggz event returns this Sunday at 10am. The brunch event will include a breakfast buffet, live music and “shenanigans” all day long. Tables are first-come, first-serve, and free T-shirts will be gifted to the first few customers in line.

If you’re not feeling the luck of the Irish, head to the Spa Little Theater, where BalletX will perform works by leading choreographers including Jorma Elo, Jamar Roberts and Jennifer Archibald on Sunday at 2pm.
