Embrace the cold in Lake George this weekend at Adirondack Pub & Brewery’s free Funky Ice Fest, going on Friday and Saturday (and next Friday and Saturday) from 4-9pm. Get your groove on beneath the winter moon and a disco ball while sipping on craft cocktails, beer or other drinks. Dance to funky tunes, play classic arcade games (Pac-Man, anyone?) and chill out in the ice lounge, complete with a full bar and ice throne.
Also going on in Lake George is Fort William Henry’s Polar Ice Bar, which will take over the new Lakeside Restaurant & Lounge this Friday from 4-10pm, Saturday from 1-10pm and Sunday from noon-4pm. The free event is open to the public and will feature ice sculptures, live music, fire pits, specialty drinks and more. While you’re there, be sure to check out the immersive Winter’s Dream experience.
Continue further north for even more cold-weather fun at The Sagamore’s Glacier IceBar, going on the same days as Funky Ice Fest. Brave the temps with a regular $35 ticket, or splurge on a heated Garden Igloo, which accommodates six guest and includes a server. On the menu? The Snow Shoe (vodka, St. Germaine, lemon juice, limoncello and a dash of cranberry juice), the Glacier Ice Martini (vodka, vanilla liqueur, white crème de cacao) and more. For more info on the IceBar, read our story on it from last year.

After you’ve tried your hand at twisting, spinning and inverting, head back to the nightclub at 6:30pm for Good Karma’s annual Winter Student Showcase, a dazzling circus performance put on by students who’ve been working hard at their aerial skills all year.
