Festival Visión: LifeWorks Community Action is hosting a celebration of Latino culture—and you’re invited! Check out the artisan street fair in Congress Park for artwork, jewelry, crafts and accessories for the home, plus children’s activities including face painting, between 3-8pm. The 17th annual Visión: Estamos Aquí (We Are Here) kicks off at 5pm in the Canfield Casino and features black-and-white photography by Saratoga’s Latino immigrant community. Then, at 7pm, Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra take the stage for a free concert in the park.

Gil Shaham Performs Bates: Haven’t made it to a Philadelphia Orchestra performance yet? There’s still time! Wednesday’s Gil Shaham show kicks off the final week of the Orchestra’s residency with a SPAC premiere of Mason Bates’ Nomad Concerto for violin and orchestra. Also this week? Yo-Yo Ma Plays Dvořák on Friday and Disney’s The Lion King in Concert on Saturday.

Sipping for Seniors: Kick off Alabama weekend at the Horseshoe, where 20 percent of all food and drink sales and 100 percent of all bartender tips will be donated to the Saratoga Senior Center on Thursday from 6-10pm. Come for the seniors and stay for live party music by Jukebox Rebellion.
Pre-Season Ski Sale: It may be the middle of summer to some, but to Saratoga’s most ardent winter warriors, it’s pre-season! The Alpine Sport Shop is opening its doors for its 84th season on Thursday; stop by to stock up on all your skiing, snowboarding and cold-weather needs at the store’s annual pre-season sale.
Cocktails & Connections: The Albany Business Review’s annual networking event returns to Prime this Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm. The region’s top business leaders from a wide variety of industries will coalesce for a high-energy evening of connection-making. Tickets are $90 and get you beer, wine, soda and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

Bianca Del Rio: Dead Inside Tour: Called the Joan Rivers of the Drag World, comedian Bianco Del Rio is bringing her Dead Inside Tour to Universal Preservation Hall this Friday at 7:30pm. Expect Del Rio’s lightning-fast wit and razor-sharp tongue on full display as she covers everything from pop culture to politics through the eyes of someone who’s “dead inside” and finds humor in everything.

Horse Farm Tour: If you missed this year’s inaugural Saratoga Farm Showcase, you now have another chance to get out and explore some of the county’s farms. On Saturday from noon-4pm, Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) will host a free, self-guided tour of six horse farms including Alliance180, Saratoga Glen Farm, Mill Creek Farm, Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital. Pick up a brochure at CCE’s office or one of the farms on the tour.
Saratoga Arts Celebration: This weekend, some 75 regional and national artists will display their works on the lawn outside the National Museum of Dance in the Spa State Park as part of the 15th annual Saratoga Arts Celebration. Stop by Saturday or Sunday between 10am-5pm to browse the exhibits and open-air galleries.

A Tribute to Transforming Lives: Fashion meets racing this Saturday at the annual Tribute to Transforming Lives fashion show, put on by Saratoga Trunk’s Natalie Sillery. While you won’t see any members of the SLAH team walking in the show this year, there will be plenty of familiar Saratoga faces on the runway! The event, which is hosted in the 1863 Club at Saratoga Race Course, is a fundraiser for two worthy local causes: Building on Love and Living Resources.
