The Congress Park Vendor & Craft Festival returns this summer for its 2nd annual appearance in Saratoga’s Congress Park behind the carousel. Bring the whole family—even your furry friends, as pets are also permitted. Vendors will have an assortment of goods like jewelry, handbags, home decor, maple syrup, pottery and much more. Fresh lemonade will be available, and a face painter will be on hand! The rain-or-shine event is free to attend and will go from 10am-4pm. Can’t make it today? Get an up-close view of the bustling aquatic wildlife at Round Lake at the Round Lake Preserve Freshwater Life Exploration event. Attendees will be given a dip net to search for freshwater animals living at the Round Lake Preserve while learning about their life cycles and adaptations. This program only runs three times this summer, so don’t miss it. This is a free event but registration is suggested. Enjoy an evening on the water this Friday when Cryin’ Out Loud! takes the satage at Dock Brown’s Lakeside Tavern. Playing all your favorite songs, the energizing band is sure to entertain while you enjoy a lakeside view of the sunset, dinner and a drink. The fun will start at 7pm and wrap up at 10pm.
Calling all pinball wizards! This Friday and Saturday the Saratoga YMCA will play host to the Saratoga Pinball & Arcade Show, where 50 games will be available to play for free. There’ll even be a beginner-friendly pinball tournament! General admission tickets are available at the door for $15 and $12 Saratoga Regional YMCA members. Children ages 6 and under are free. Early 2000s pop band Matchbox Twenty will hit the SPAC stage Sunday night as part of their Slow Dream Tour. After having to reschedule in 2020 and 2022 due to the pandemic, Saratoga will finally get to hear nostalgic hits like “3 am,” “Push” and “Unwell.” Matt Nathanson, singer of platinum-selling song “Come On Get Higher,” will open for Matchbox Twenty. The show is set to kickoff at 7:30pm and tickets start at $35.30.
