Wednesday, October 4
Universal Preservation Hall’s Women Aren’t Funny comedy series continues this Wednesday at 7:30pm with a show by actor, comedian and writer Ashley Austin Morris of Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Prodigal Son. Tickets are $18 in advance and $25 day of show.
Thursday, October 5
Kick off the spooky season at an elegant party for a good cause. This Thursday, Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) will host a masquerade gala featuring food stations, live music, an open bar, a live auction, a wine pull and more at Saratoga National from 6:30-10pm. Tickets are $125.
Alternatively, wannabe witches and wizards should descend upon Spa City Tap & Barrel, where Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone trivia will kick off at 7pm sharp with $5 cocktail specials and enough tricky questions to stump Hermione. Saturday, October 7
Fall will be in full effect come Friday, when Saratoga will play host to the 8th annual International Flavorfeast from 11am-4pm. The afternoon will feature multi-cultural street performances and $2 food samples from 24 participating restaurants including Brasserie Benelux, Cantina, Karavalli, Sushi Thai Garden and The Parting Class. Grab your “passport map” at the corner of Division and Broadway and get tasting!
Thirsty? The Saratoga Hard Cider & Doughnut Fest will be going on downtown as well. Sign up to receive drink specials at eight participating bars (Night Owl, Icehouse, Tap & Barrel, Clancy’s, The Misfit, Soundbar and Bourbon Room), plus two free specialty doughnuts. Tickets are $30.
Meanwhile, two powerhouse Saratoga arts organizations will be teaming up to present a free music festival from noon-5:30pm. This year’s Caffe Lena at SPAC event will feature a stacked lineup of singer-songwriters, plus food for sale, lawn games and plenty of room for picnic blankets and folding chairs.
Sunday, October 8
Start a new family tradition at the first annual Saratoga Foliage Ride, a collaboration between Bikeatoga and the Saratoga Regional YMCA. The two-day event kicks off on Saturday, with different scenic rides planned for each day. For more information and to register, click here.
