High Peaks Canna opening: Fresh on the heels of the opening of Silver Cannabis Company (Saratoga’s first recreational cannabis dispensary), comes the opening of another: High Peaks Canna, located on Maple Avenue just past the Olde Bryan Inn. The shop opens for business Wednesday; stop in seven days a week.
Fight for Hope Charity Boxing Show: Schenectady’s Ring of Hope Boxing Club provides disadvantaged young men and women with an alternative to drug use, gang violence and hopelessness. This Wednesday, the Club will host a Fight for Hope fundraiser, featuring 10 action-filled bouts and special guests Buddy McGirt, Gerry Clooney, Larry Holmes and Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, at the Saratoga Springs City Center at 7pm. Before the show, The Adelphi Hotel is hosting a meet-and-greet with “The Great Ones”—the boxing greats listed above—from 5-7pm. Proceeds from both events will help support Ring of Hope’s mission.

Taylor Swift Trivia: If you missed our “Where to Play Weeknight Trivia in Saratoga” story, you may not know that Spa City Tap & Barrel hosts themed trivia every Thursday from 7-9pm. On the schedule for this week? The Tortured Poets Department–inspired Taylor Swift trivia. The winning team goes home with $100 cash.

Wine and Roses: This Friday from 5-8pm, Mostly Modern Projects will present an evening of classical music in the gardens at Yaddo, which are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year. Bring a blanket, sip on regional wine from Bars Without Boundaries and enjoy the roses in full bloom at dusk.
Charity Polo Match: See another fast-paced sport played for a cause this Friday at Great Strides Equestrian Foundation’s Charity Polo Match, held at Saratoga Polo School in Stillwater. Like Ring of Hope, Great Strides is a nonprofit that empowers young people through sport—only in this case, through polo. Friday’s match begins at 6:30pm.
John Hendrickson Celebration of Life: While the services for the late John Hendrickson will be private, the public is invited to attend a celebration of the remarkable and impactful life of Marylou Whitney’s widower, who passed away unexpectedly last Monday at the age of 59, from 6:30-8:30pm on Friday at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. All are welcome to attend to pay their respects.

Grillin & Chillin’: On Saturday from noon-9pm, Artisanal Brew Works will host a casual send-off to summer, featuring a special grill menu (hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ pork sandwiches and vegetarian/vegan options), live music from 2-4pm and 5-8pm, and plenty to drink (not just beer!).

Saratoga Race Course Giveaway: The second-to-last day of racing also marks the last Saratoga Race Course free giveaway day. Attendees at this Sunday’s races will receive a Saratoga Windbreaker (size medium and extra large available) while supplies last.
