It’s time to stop complaining about being single and actually do something about it, Saratoga. Single in Saratoga is a cheap and easy way to meet other local singles—without having to deal with all the pitfalls of online dating. Join us for an evening of Deep Eddy cocktails, beer pong, merch, games, prizes and One With Life Tequila tastings at Bailey’s this Wednesday from 7-9:30pm. For those looking to meet people in a more professional setting, check out Networking at Night’s Speed Dating for Your Business, a unique opportunity to get face time with a lot of local professionals. The event kicks off at 5:30pm at The Hideaway, with the speed networking beginning at 6pm sharp. Tickets are $15 and include your first drink. RSVP now—this event is capped at 40 people.
Thursday also brings with it another one-of-a-kind event—this one put on by Saratoga Arts. The Foundation Experience is a mysterious, exploratory, masquerade-style fundraiser hosted in the Saratoga Arts building that will feature more than a dozen performers spanning multiple artistic disciplines, surprises at every turn, and a disco dance afterparty. VIP tickets are $150 and general admission tickets are $90.

Support Saratoga Center for the Family this Friday at Corks, Forks & Brews, an annual fundraiser featuring beer, wine, spirit and food samples. This year’s event starts at 6pm and will be highlighted by live music by Mikki Bakken as well as raffles, with funds raised going directly to strengthen children, families and our community by reducing the effects of abuse, trauma and family dysfunction through advocacy, education and mental health therapy. Tickets are $75 in advance and $80 at the door.

This weekend marks the second and final weekend of the Saratoga Showcase of Homes, the area’s premier tour of newly constructed homes. Tickets are $25—read all the details (and get a sneak peek at two of the homes) here.
As local bibliophiles already know, The Saratoga Book Festival returns to the Spa City this week. Running from October 12-15, the multi-day event will feature more than 60 authors presenting programming across the city. Not to be confused with Friday’s Corks, Forks & Brews fundraiser, Sunday’s Corks & Cuisine Wine & Food Tasting returns to Forno Bistro at 1pm. The afternoon will feature a curated selection of wines, spirits and craft beers, as well as delicious bites from DZ Restaurants’ three locations: Forno, Boca Bistro and Chianti. A silent auction will benefit the Richard Bambara Memorial Fund, which supports Uro-Oncology resident education and research at Albany Medical Center. Admission is a suggested donation of $40.
