Tuesday, July 15
Live Nation Concerts: Live Nation concert season at SPAC is in full swing, and this week’s lineup doesn’t disappoint. Catch Rod Stewart and special guest Cheap Trick on Tuesday, Weird Al Yankovic on Thursday, Dave Matthews Band on Friday and Saturday, and Shania Twain on Sunday.
Wednesday, July 16
Music on the Lawn: For a different kind of show, head down to the Albany Institute of History and Art from 5-7pm on Wednesday for live music, free gallery admission, food trucks, and a pop-up cash bar featuring natural wines, local beers, cocktails, and mocktails. Bring your friends and a picnic blanket or lawn chair, and you’ll be set for a good night.
Thursday, July 17
New York Thoroughbred Aftercare Day: Stop by the track at 11am on Thursday to meet retired racehorses and see them demonstrate the skills they’ve learned in their second careers. Live interviews with members of New York’s aftercare community will also take place.
Wine & Roses: Explore the beautiful Yaddo Gardens with the backdrop of live classical music from 5-8pm. Wine, hard seltzer, mocktails, and sparkling water will be available for purchase, and guests are invited to bring their own picnic as well as an outdoor chair or a blanket to relax.
Friday, July 18
1776—The Musical: The debut of Home Made Theater’s rendition of the prize-winning 1776 musical will take place at the Saratoga Music Hall from 7-9:30pm. The production explores America’s founding moments alongside humor and memorable songs, with civic themes that feel particularly relevant today. Additional showtimes will be offered throughout this weekend and next weekend.
Desserts After Dark: Indulge in limited-edition sweets crafted exclusively for this after-hours event from Saratoga Chocolate Co. From 7-9pm every Friday through the summer, chocolate lovers, night owls, and anyone looking to sweeten up their Friday are welcome to come explore bold flavor pairings and sip on rich sipping chocolate. Space is limited.
Friday Art Market: Take a stroll down Beekman Street from 5-8pm for a lively evening market featuring refreshments from open shops and galleries and two dozen artists and makers lining the street. Can’t make it this time? No worries—the event takes place on the third Friday of every month.
Saturday, July 19
Racing & Rosé: Miss Scarlett Boutique is once again teaming up with the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame for a racing-themed fashion show going on this Saturday at the Museum. These year’s show will be hosted by Donna Brothers and feature floral fascinators and wine from Old Tavern Farm. Sign up for the VIP pre-party with jockey Katie Davis at 10:30am, and stick around for the main event at 11:30am.
Sunday, July 20
Beethoven’s Quintet for Piano and Winds: Relax before another busy work week with this classical performance at the Spa Little Theater at 3pm. The program explores the interplay between wind instruments and the piano, featuring dynamic pieces from iconic composers including Beethoven, Mozart, and Dutilleux.
