Child’s Play: The Dake Foundation for Children’s annual fundraiser returns to Saratoga Performing Arts Center this Wednesday from 5:30–9:30pm for an evening of food, entertainment, and surprises. This year’s theme? A Salute to Saratoga. Only a few tickets were left as of Friday!
Thursday, May 28
Stakes for a Cause: Not sure what you’re wearing to Belmont yet? Let the ladies of Bobbles & Lace help you out on Thursday from 4–7pm, when the Broadway Boutique will open its doors for what they’re calling a Belmont-style social, complete with race-day styling, bubbly, permanent jewelry, and an ultimate Belmont prep raffle. Fifteen percent of sales during the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Wilton Wildlife’s Spring Soirée: This year, Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park turns 30, and they’re throwing a party at Camp Saratoga to celebrate! From 5–8pm on Thursday, expect a summer camp menu by The Wandering Food Dude, drinks, and music by Mandolin Too. Proceeds will support Wilton Wildlife’s mission-driven work in environmental education, outdoor recreation, and conservation.
Friday, May 29
SPACtacular: Saratoga Performing Arts Center is pulling out all the stops for its annual fundraiser during its 60th anniversary year. While all-access passes are already sold out, there’s still time to purchase a Party Pass, which gets you access to the Party Tent with food tastings, cocktails, and live music by Road Soda Pop; the Pavilion Lounge with zero-proof drinks from Bars Without Boundaries, a photo booth, and a sealed-bid auction; a fireworks show; and a late-night dance party on the SPAC stage with DJ Trumastr. Get your tickets, or enter Saratoga Living’s giveaway before noon today for a chance to win two Party Passes.
Saturday, May 30
Saratoga PLAN’s Cornhole Tournament: Support Saratoga PLAN’s plans to offer a second, more accessible trailhead to Graphite Range Community Forest at the nonprofit’s fourth annual Cornhole Tournament going on at Common Roots Brewery in South Glens Falls. Check-in starts at noon, and bags fly at 1pm sharp. Not into lawn games? Grab a drink in the Bierhall while the Ryan Clark Band performs.
Pollinator Palooza: Another event for an environmental cause is going on this Saturday from 10am–3pm. Stop by Oligny’s Country Gardens in Gansevoort for Sustainable Saratoga’s annual Pollinator Palooza Native Plant Sale to buy native plants and meet people dedicated to protecting our precious pollinators, their habitat, and other natural resources. In addition to the plant sale, there’ll be free soil pH testing, kids’ activities, and more.
Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga Open Barn: You’ve heard of an open house…Now head to Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga for an open barn! On Saturday from 10am–2pm, THS will swing open its barn doors for a free, family-friendly day at the farm, complete with self-guided tours, meet-and-greets with the horses, family-friendly activities, and educational opportunities.
Bailey’s Saratoga’s Annual Clam Bake: You don’t need a ticket to stop by Bailey’s this Saturday. Starting at noon, the beloved Saratoga bar and restaurant will be serving up $10 food specials including oysters, clams, shrimp, crab sandwiches, rock shrimp salad, and more. Come for the crustaceans, stay for the drink specials, giveaways, and live music.
Sunday, May 31
Wilton Wildlife Festival: After its Spring Soirée on Thursday, Wilton Wildlife is back on Sunday from 11am–3pm for its annual Wildlife Festival that just so happens to coincide with the stunning bloom of wild blue lupines and the emergence of the first brood of the endangered Karner blue butterfly. Expect nature crafts, pond life exploration, live raptors, rescue rabbits from Hop on Home, face painting, corn hole, live music, refreshments, and more.
Cantina Kids Fun Run: Last week, Cantina hosted Cocktails for a Cause, a fundraiser for Saratoga Hospital Foundation, for Spa City parents. Now it’s the kids’ time to shine! The 18th annual Cantina Kids Fun Run returns to Congress Park with the quarter-mile race kicking off at 9am, and the mile race shortly after at 9:30am. Pre-registration is open through Wednesday, so sign your littles up now.
