It’s officially fair season, Saratoga! The Saratoga County Fair kicks off Tuesday and runs thorough Sunday. Head over today to meet Niagara Down Under’s mob of kangaroos and wallabies, see Niels Duinker’s comedy juggling show, witness Dialed Action Sports’ BMX bicycle stunt show, participate in a doughnut-eating contest, and experience the Electric Rodeo and Demo Derby. Tomorrow evening, Saratoga Arts presents a special program celebrating the life and work of Bill Cunningham, who spent decades on a bicycle documenting NYC’s street fashion scene for the New York Times. Former New York Times Style section photo editor and current Saratoga Arts board member Tiina Loite will present the program, entitled Five Decades of Fashion: An Exploration of the Photography of Bill Cunningham, at 6:30pm. Tiina, who edited Bill’s coffee table book, will give an in-depth talk on the history of fashion spanning from the 1970s to 2010s, accompanied by Bill’s photography.

Haven’t been to Franklin Square Market’s Market Bar & Café yet? There’s no better time to check it out than Thursday, when Chef Mark Delos will host a 6-Course Summer Wine Dinner. On the menu? Greek halloumi, lobster and corn wontons, watermelon and smoked burrata, ahi tuna gyoza taco, wagyu sirloin bevette, and fried coconut gelato—all paired with wines from around the world. Tickets are $95 and are expected to sell out.

The Triple Crown may be over, but there’s still time to get tickets for the Saratoga Automobile Museum’s Triple Crown Gala, going on at the museum this Friday at 6pm. On the agenda? A silent auction, formal dinner, music, gaming tables, a panel discussion on Ferrari moderated by automotive historian Donald Osborne, and a book signing by Pam Yates, author of Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine. Tickets are $200.
Saturday, July 27
Racing & Rosé returns to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame this Saturday! Co-hosted by Acacia Clement and Donna Brothers, the annual brunch party is highlighted by a fashion show of racing-inspired designs by Miss Scarlett Boutique’s Jennifer Marcellus. Come early (10:30am) for a garden party and meet-and-greet with the morning’s hosts and to get a custom floral fascinator, or at 11am for general admission—bubbly, rosé and light bites by PDT Catering included!
On Saturday evening, four of Saratoga’s top jockeys—from both Thoroughbred racing and harness racing—will battle it out in a Charity Match Race to benefit Franklin Community Center and the Kelly’s Angels Foundation. Kicking off at 5pm, Saratoga Casino will host an evening of fun highlighted by two races between jockey Robbie Davis and driver Brett Beckwith and between jockey Katie Davis and Michelle Crawford. Ty’s Taco Truck will be on hand and Steve’s Trackside Grill will be open.

One of the Saratoga racing season’s signature fundraising events is back. On Sunday evening, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund will host karaoke competition Riders Up, in which the amateur singers are—you guessed it—jockeys. Enough said.
