Cantina for a Cause: This Wednesday, when you dine or drink at Cantina, 33% of the price of your meal will be donated to the Saratoga Senior Center. Reservations are recommended!

Saratoga Film Showcase: The first-ever Saratoga Film Showcase is coming to Putnam Place and Scene One Entertainment this Friday and Saturday. Kick off the weekend on Friday at 7pm for Shorts After Dark (screenings of boundary-pushing and in some cases NSFW short films) and an opening night mixer at Putnam Place. Then, on Saturday, don’t miss sessions about local filmmaking and choreography in film, followed by the headlining feature, Paint, the Owen Wilson movie that was filmed in Saratoga in 2021. (Paint writer/director Brit McAdams will be available for a Q&A after the screening!) After the show, head back to Putnam Place for the closing night party, complete with drinks, live music and aerialist performances. Tickets are available by donation.
Dr. King Celebration Weekend: Friday also marks the kick-off of Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend in Saratoga (and everywhere else). At 5:30pm, MLK Saratoga will host an evening of performance with emcee Bakari Grady-Willis featuring DJ sets and music by Jermaine Wells, the Ill Funk Ensemble, and more at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga. More programming is planned for the entire weekend, culminating in a community celebration at Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church from 2-4pm on Sunday. Franklin Square Market Beer Dinner: There are only a few tickets left for this collaboration dinner between Franklin Square Market and Wolf Hollow Brewing, coming to FSM this Friday at 6:30pm. After a reception with appetizers, guests will get calamari cavatelli, oxtail croquettes, bolognese waffle, duck pizzette, and an apple fritter, each of which will be paired with a Wolf Hollow beer. Tickets are $75.
Good Charlatan Starring Ben Seidman: This Friday and Saturday at UPH, Magician Ben Seidman will combine sleight of hand and psychological deception to cheat at cards, pick your pockets, and demonstrate the importance of using magical powers for good. Both Friday and Saturday’s shows start at 7:30pm.
