Yesterday kicked off the 2024 Schenectady Restaurant Week, and though you’ll have to drive a bit out of town, with $20 lunches and $30 or $40 dinners at some two dozen restaurants, it’ll be more than worth it. Participating restaurants include Tara Kitchen, Stella’s Pasta Bar, The Nest, Johnny’s and unBEETable. Can’t make it down to the Electric City this week? Saratoga County Restaurant Week is right around the corner; get $15 lunches and $25, $35 or $45 dinners at restaurants including PJ’s Bar-B-QSA, Taverna Novo and Morton’s from March 6-14.

Double H Ranch is making the most of the extra day this year. If you didn’t get a chance to check out The Rathskeller, the new underground bar that soft-opened on Chowderfest, you can still be one of the first to belly up to the bar (there’s a literal vintage Beetle behind it) or lounge on one of the many couches arranged throughout the space at this Friday’s grand opening. SLAH will see you there.
Saturday, March 2
Adirondack Brewery’s Barrel Fest returns to Lake George this Saturday from 2-5pm for an afternoon of barrel-aged beer, cider, wine and more. Sure, barrel-aged beverages from throughout the northeast will be available for craft beer enthusiasts to try, but the event will also feature music, dancing, a bonfire, fireworks and snacks. Head up early for the annual Kegs & Eggs Brunch to make sure you’re properly fueled for an afternoon of high-ABV beers.
Saturday also kicks off the Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs’ 50th anniversary Home & Lifestyle Show at the City Center. The free, two-day event will showcase the best in outdoor living, media and entertainment, decor, household organization, home improvement and more, as well as the photography, paintings, woodwork and jewelry of more than 25 artisans. Proceeds from the event will be distributed to community nonprofits, youth scholarships and international humanitarian aid projects.
Sunday, March 3
