Saratoga roots for mane man Scott Salvadore('s mullet) on live TV—we’re talking the TODAY show—to see if he'd be crowned champion.

On Friday night, I was scrambling. I needed a plus one for a TODAY show watch party for the USA Mullet Championships (you’ve got to see the photos), and no one seemed to want to go with me. One of our own had made it to the top three in the country, and would be interviewed live in front of the nation. After following his journey through the lower rounds, I had to be there to see if he won. In person. As he was interviewed live—did I mention that part? Live on national television? But maybe I didn’t mention it was all going down at 7am. Would our Scott Salvadore take the crown? Would I waltz into a bar as the sun was rising to have an adult beverage and meet a room of local mullet fans for the very first time? This is how it went down—and I have the pictures to prove it.
