First Course: Speckled Pig Brewing

After two weekends of soft openings, Ballston Spa's new brewery gears up for its grand opening, ready or not.

Speckled Pig Brewing on Washington Street in Ballston Spa will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, September 23.

For not being officially open yet, Speckled Pig Brewing was slammed on Friday night. “It was a sh** show,” co-owner Larry Heid said near the end of the evening, when the spirited crowd had finally begun to thin, and then again when I called him up on Monday, four days before the brewery’s grand opening. “We definitely won’t be a well-oiled machine come Friday…but it will be fun.”
