How we found our four featured weddings, this season's MVP and an early-morning adventure to the Capital Region's first dispensary.

When it comes to producing a magazine, typically we think of a story idea, and then go write the story. That was not the case for this year’s Saratoga Living “I Do!” Issue, which hit stands this past weekend. Sure, we came up with a cover story concept—four weddings with seasonal themes—but then we actually had to go find the stories. I don’t even want to tell you how many hours I spent scrolling through Capital Region wedding Instagram. My algorithm, which is normally a healthy mix of vegan recipes, rock climbing tutorials and Nanalan’ videos, was quite thrown off.
