Behind the Scenes: Holiday 2023 Issue

How we made all the dogs look at the camera, plus more insight into our final edition of the year.

Since the release of our holiday issue, cover subject Tim Pink’s celebrity status has only grown. “One client gave me a few copies of the magazine and said ‘I need you to sign one for me.’” he says. “I laughed and started to make a joke. Then they pulled out a Sharpie.”

This year, Christmas came early. Our holiday issue showed up more than a week ahead of schedule (thank you, printing gods!) and Saratoga Springs got a look at what some of our readers have said is their favorite Saratoga Living cover of all time. While Tim Pink would make a worthy cover by himself, it’s his pack of furry friends that really steals the show. How, exactly, did we make all 15 pups look at the camera at exactly the same time?
