When Longfellows co-owners Steve “Sully” and Yvonne Sullivan and David Powers announced in November that their beloved restaurant, hotel and conference center would close January 21, 2023, it seemed like there was plenty of time to say goodbye. But now here we are, staring down the last weekend in sad disbelief. (Their other haunt, Olde Bryan Inn, won’t be affected.)

It’s amazing the sheer numbers of people (Longfellows was open 26 years, with the hotel arriving in 1998 and more rooms and a conference center in 2003) who got married there, had their reception there, had their bridal or baby shower there, spent their wedding night there, met their future spouse (yup) there…
